Hurricane Season - Post-Storm Status

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Families of the Diocese of St. Augustine,

We are grateful to have been spared from some of the most dangerous of winds, tornados, and other strong hazardous conditions missed the majority of our area.  The county hit most appears to be Flagler in our diocese. The hurricane made landfall south of Tampa, in Sarasota, and continue through the state and exited on the east coast as a Category 1 through the night on Wednesday.  This massive storm brought hurricane-force winds all the way through and across the State of Florida.  In our post-storm assessments we are checking our campuses for damage, and ensuring we have electric and water.

Below you will find the status of all of our Catholic schools throughout the diocese.  Your school and the diocese will also make use of our ParentAlert System (email, voice messaging, and text messaging) for communicating information to all families.

All 17 counties of the diocese are under a State of Emergency declared by the Governor and local states of emergency have been declared as well.  President Biden has also approved an emergency declaration for the State of Florida.  Please monitor this website and watch for communications from your school directly.  We will be posting the status of all schools for next week on this website.

May God bless you and your families, and let us pray for one another and all that have been affected by both Hurricane Helene and Milton.
