Hurricane - School Status

Dear Faculty and Families of the Diocese of St. Augustine,

Diocesan leadership is continuing to monitor Hurricane Dorian, the many emergency operations centers around the diocese as well as the National Hurricane Center and local meteorologists.  This hurricane is producing heavy rainfall, winds, and flooding.

After the impact of Dorian, a post-assessment will be made on each of our facilities across the diocese.  Once we know that the school or center can reopen we will continue to post to information related to future closings and our ability to reopen.

For those schools that are closed, we hope to give another update in regards to Friday by 11 am Thursday morning. For those schools with have no designation we are waiting and trying to make a decision later tonight.

We want you to know that these decisions are not made lightly, and we know that for our families a closure has ramifications for you as well. Your school and the diocese will also make use of our ParentAlert System for communicating information to you.

May God bless you and your families,

Office of the Superintendent
